As a 501(c)(3) foundation, The Jenika Francois Foundation partners with nonprofits that help God mend broken spirits, heal mental and physical pain, and teach God’s children how to flourish on their own. It does this through love, laughter, nourishment, attention, and compassion–the things that every child needs to thrive.
We seek to unleash hope wherever it is hiding, show love wherever God takes us, and spread the love of Jesus Christ around the world.
We conduct research and background checks to identify effective, Christ-led non-profits that are changing the world in the five areas in which we feel led to help. We hold these non-profits accountable by monitoring how their funds are being allocated, physically checking their base sites, and updating our donors via email.
You will notice that the areas in which we feel led to help are interconnected and interdependent. This is because we believe that a multifaceted approach will prove the most successful for truly changing lives.
The purpose of the Jenika Francois Foundation is to partner with and assist non-profit organizations in FIVE PRIMARY AREAS:
1. To bring an end to child slavery.
God used Jenika to expose our hearts and minds to the fact that slavery is still allowed and prevalent in many places around the world. We partner with non-profits worldwide that both bring awareness of, and work toward ending, this horrific practice.
2. To assist malnourished and ill children.
Through our trips to Haiti, we have been exposed to the incredible amount of pain that starving children and children with easily treatable diseases endure. We work with non-profits worldwide that help infants and children gain access to proper nutrition and medical attention, and give them the foundation they need to have a healthy and productive life.
3. To provide educational funding for children.
It is indisputable that education can decrease poverty, and educating children can change the course of their lives and allow them to make positive changes to their communities. We work with non-profits worldwide that are enrolling children in schools to advance their educations.
4. To provide work-related educational funding for caretakers.
By providing adults with a work-related education, we give them confidence in themselves and the ability to create a prosperous, self-sustaining family unit.
We partner with non-profits worldwide that offer education to caretakers and help them find work so they can better provide for themselves and their families.
5. To provide microfinancing to start self-sustaining, family businesses.
The people we help want to be self-sufficient. We therefore partner with non-profits worldwide that provide small loans to individuals, thereby allowing them the opportunity to start their own family businesses.
